Being so close to New York City, September 11th has always felt more than just an anniversary of a tragic day in our nation. I wanted to share how OLP came together to honor it this year.

September 2, we began praying a novena at every Mass, using a special holy card dedicated to this day. If you weren’t able to be with us, I’d love for you to continue it at home.

On 9/11, we celebrated a Mass at 12:10pm with a very special intention: for all those we lost on September 11th, and for everyone who still carries that day with them, in whatever way it shows up.

Right after Mass, at 12:15, our students gathered to lower the flag before heading home for the day. This intentional moment was timed so the school and the Mass could honor the day as one.

We are OLP. And we will never forget.
