This week (May 5-9), we join communities across the country in celebrating Teacher Appreciation Week—a special time to recognize the dedication, passion, and lasting impact of teachers in our lives.
At Our Lady of Peace, we are especially grateful for the educators who serve in our parish community, both in our Academy and in local schools. These men and women do more than teach facts and figures—they shape hearts, nurture curiosity, and help form our children in faith, knowledge, and virtue. Their influence reaches far beyond the classroom, touching lives in profound and lasting ways.
We invite you to take a moment this week to say thank you to a teacher who has made a difference in your life or in the life of your child. A simple note, prayer, or word of encouragement can mean more than you know.
Let us also pray together for all teachers:
Lord, bless our teachers with wisdom, patience, and joy. Strengthen them in their mission, guide them in their work, and reward them for the many seeds of love and knowledge they plant each day. Amen.
To all our teachers: thank you. Your work is seen, valued, and deeply appreciated.
