Holy Day of Obligation on Monday, Dec. 8

Please join us for Mass to celebrate the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary, a Holy Day of Obligation for all Catholics. Mass will be held at 7:00AM, 12:10PM and 7:30PM on Monday, December 8th.

What is the significance of this feast day? We celebrate the Feast of the Immaculate Conception because Mary was preserved from original sin from the very first moment of her life, preparing her to be the Mother of Jesus. This feast reminds us that God’s saving grace was at work even before Christ was born, shaping the story of our salvation. It’s important because Mary’s “yes” to God—made possible by this special grace—opened the way for Jesus to come into the world and bring us hope and redemption.
