We are hosting a Volunteer Training for CLOW on Sunday, April 19 after 10AM Mass.
Children’s Liturgy of the Word is a short session for kids on Sundays at 10AM Mass, which is designed to help them understand the Gospel message through kid-friendly readings, conversations and activities. If you are interested in helping with CLOW, or if you are already involved and would like a refresher course - or if you would simply like to learn more and see what it’s all about, you are invited to attend our volunteer training session.
Read more about it below with answers to a few common questions. If you would like to attend, please email Briana Tivenan at communications@olpnp.org or call the office.
When does Children’s Liturgy happen?
CLOW is held each Sunday at the 10:00AM Mass. The session occurs from the time of the Readings to the Prayers of the Faithful right after the Homily. In sum, CLOW is usually about 15-20 minutes.
Will I need to plan anything or create lesson plans?
No, that’s the best part! Our coordinator writes a full lesson guide and plans a simple craft or activity for each session. You will have all the supplies you need, as well as a full script for the whole session, to help you to be as prepared as possible?
