Amelia Vicente (nee Cernadas), 92 of New Providence, formerly of Union, passed away on August 4, 2025 at Lantern Hill Long Term Care.

Born in Newark, Amelia was raised in the Ironbound Section and later lived in Union for many years before moving to Lantern Hill in 2018. She was a clerk for the Union Township Department of Public Works for many years prior to her retirement 30 years ago. Amelia was a jack of all trades who was fiercely devoted to her family. Funeral: Saturday August 9 from 9 - 9:30 AM. A Funeral Service will be held at Hollywood Memorial Park, 1500 Stuyvesant Ave. Union at 10 AM, followed by her entombment.
