We invite those who are suffering and seeking God’s grace to an Anointing of the Sick Mass and Luncheon on Saturday, November 1st, with Mass beginning at 10:30am and Luncheon following in the Parish Hall. Families and friends are welcome to attend.
Anointing of the Sick is a sacrament meant for those who are experiencing a grave or terminal illness, suffering from serious mental illness, facing a major surgery, in frail condition, or facing death. The prior and prevailing understanding of this sacrament was that it was only for those who are near death. Rather, this sacrament is meant for anyone who finds themselves in the above conditions. Even children who are seriously ill may receive this sacrament.
